Destination Wedding, Reception Party back home!

This couple decided to get married on a BEAUTIFUL beach in Mexico with just a few family and friends.  But they still wanted to be able to celebrate with everyone back home.  So they worked with the amazing Samar Hattar of Blissful Events to create a beautiful and amazingly elegant party in their backyard!  I can’t even begin to describe the transformation that was made!!!  They built their own custom dance floor that covered the pool with Plexiglas squares for a beautiful look!!!  It was amazing!!!!  They were not short of beautiful, detailed decor and flowers (flowers by the amazing Vo Floral Design) They even draped the house so you couldn’t even tell you were in a backyard!!!  They didn’t want a sit down dinner, they preferred to have a very elegant cocktail party type setting where people could be free to walk around and try different foods and enjoy everyone’s company.  The amazing Elaine Bell Catering took care of the most beautiful food arrangements I’ve ever seen!  Every (what seemed like) 5 minutes there was a new, carefully designed plate of food coming around.  There was a Persian station of food set up and a seafood bar on the opposite side of the yard.  Then later as it got dark they switched the stations to a taco bar and french fry bar!!!  Yup… I said that right!!! Taco Bar and French Fry Bar!!!  YUMMM doesn’t describe it!  The french fry bar had different types of dips and salts and two different kinds of fries, sweet potato and regular potato.  The taco bar had delicious meat choices in a fried cone and tons of different condiments to choose from!!!  SOOOOOO yummy!  (It was really nice of Elaine and her staff to leave out the fat too!  It was the most delicious fat free snack I’ve ever scarfed down… I mean nibbled on in my life…or so I told myself after the 3rd helping of fries!) It would have been impossible for someone to have walked out of this party hungry!!!

Since they already had their ceremony and all of that jazz the Bride decided to wear a different gown than her wedding dress to fit the occasion.  They also decided not to re do the actual ceremony but to stand on the dance floor and exchange their vows in front of the rest of their friends and family.  I’m pretty sure she said (in her vows) “I love you like Chloe loves Lamar” ….ummm You know Chloe and Lamar too??? so do I!!!  I love them!!!  ok I digress… Then immediately following they shared their first dance.  A couple close friends and the Groom’s Parent’s decided to give a toast but other than that they spent the rest of the evening enjoying all of their guests……and the delicious food!

We had a few minutes before the guests were set to arrive so we stepped out front of the house to snap a few photos!
