Emily and Travis' Kenwood Farm and Garden's Wedding in Kenwood, CA

I met Emily a few years ago, she was a bridesmaid in 2 or 3 of my weddings.  I was beyond thrilled when she e mailed me asking for a consultation for HER wedding!  Emily is just about the most loving, caring, sweetest, and most genuine women you will ever meet.  Then I met Travis…..  he just seemed to complete her.  A person who by herself seems to be almost as complete as you can get, but I could just tell when I saw them together that there was something about Travis that really seemed to fit so perfectly with Emily.  As I got to know Travis more through out the wedding day I could also see just how well she complimented him as well.  I don’t often say this but I feel pretty confident that these two will be married forever.

I very much enjoyed this entire day!  That really is an understatement though.  Both Emily and Travis have wonderful families and some of the funnest friends I’ve been around!!  From the beginning to the very end this was such a crazy fun day!  Emily got ready at her Parent’s home in Rohnert Park, but got dressed at Kenwood.  The guys got ready and met me at Kenwood shortly after the ladies.  We spent the first part of the morning taking photos with the girls and then the guys and it was so effortless.  Everyone was so relaxed and easy to work with.  I’ll just let the photos speak for me to tell the rest of the story!  I think FUN is about the only perfect word!

Emily and Travis have had their wedding album and CD for a few months now and somehow I completely forgot to put up a recap but I guess it is better late than never!!!

I swear photographing someone who is just such a beautiful person inside and out is one of the easiest parts of being a photographer.  The inspiration that comes is more than I ever have enough time for.  Emily was truly a joy to photograph, so effortless.

When I have two people in front of my camera that are just all around great people, they are relaxed and trusting, and they are just truly in love and in their element it is a wedding photographer’s dream!  It turns into the best most enjoyable 10 minutes of the day.  Emily and Travis really wanted just a small handful of “romantics” (what I call the photos of the Bride and Groom) and really wanted to spend their time with their friends and family.  They made it so easy for me to be quick and get what they wanted and get them to their cocktail hour!

YUMMMMMM doesn’t even cover it!  Emily decided to go with the best of both worlds, cupcakes AND cheesecake!  She had a cheese cake for her and Travis and they had mini cupcakes and mini cheesecakes for their guests! Let’s just say I had a couple of both!  SOOOO delicious!  Special thanks to the amazing woman who made them, Carolyn of Your Sweet Expectations

I am such a sucker for a Mama’s Boy!!!  I really am!  My first born is my son and I feel such a close bond with him.  I hope with every part of who I am that I get to share such a touching moment with my son at his wedding like Travis and his Mom did!

This is what happens nearly every time I bring out my ICE light.  It’s a light I use for photography occasionally and it draws such attention from the Men!  LOL If I were single I might think of bringing it to the bar with me the way it practically seems to attract men!!  It brings out their inner Star Wars or something!  It sort of looks like a light saber!
