Vargo Family {Sonoma County Family Photographer}

I absolutely LOVE doing large family shoots. Is it a challenge? YES of course! It’s a huge balancing act. But I love it for the heart of what it is. I have so many feelings when it comes to this. I’ll start with the sad and real one: Life is short. I know how hard it is to align schedules between multiple families but at the end of the day it is worth the time and hassle. My second reason: well I love to talk with Parents who’s children are grown. I love hearing their stories of their children growing up. When they get to the stories of sending them off to college I cry, EVERY SINGLE TIME. I can NOT imagine not seeing my children every day. But I have to think that the single best moment that comes after letting them go and make a life for themselves is well, when they do. When they find the loves of their lives and they create families of their own. Forget the excitement of being a Grandma or Grandpa (that’s an entirely other post) but just simply watching your children becoming Mothers or Fathers or Husbands or Wives has got to be so amazing.

So a large family photo to me represents all the memories, the love, the work, sacrifice of raising your children and showing off in one single image what has come from that…. and of course if you know me you know I can’t just take one single image lol so in this situation there are quite a few! Here is a little sneak peek into the family session for Nancy Vargo the beautiful and strong Mother and Grandmother who’s Husband left us much too soon but was clearly smiling down on us during our shoot.
