A poolside ending! ….just a little sneak peek to The Dencklau Wedding {Sonoma Wedding Photographer}

I’m sure you all saw the post last week featuring Willow and Matt’s engagement images.  If I didn’t already know how fun they are, I do now!  This wedding was so calm, so relaxed, so beautiful, and so much fun.  Matt has only been home from Korea for a couple weeks and is set to leave for Germany in less than 10 days so I think they just knew they didn’t have much time so why waist it worrying, fussing, and perfecting.  They literally enjoyed every single second of the day.  It was so cool to watch and such an honor to be apart of.  I will write more about the day on the full blog post but I just had to share a handful of images that I love from Saturday’s wedding.

Willow said early on in the day that she wanted to jump in the pool at the end of the night.  So once we knew Matt was on board I told them if they jumped in I’d get in to get the shot.  I had my AMAZING second shooter, Brian MacStay with me and he set up on the other side of the pool to get one angle and I borrowed a tank top (never ever ever ever in a million years thought I’d wear a tank top at a wedding, even only for a few minutes) and put my camera inside of a zip-lock bag, cut a hole out for the lens and snuck in the pool just seconds before Matt and Willow ran from the other corner and jumped in!  Soooo much fun!  I don’t think they realized that it would start a frenzy!  I think they thought they’d get out, change and go back to dancing.  But instead everyone started throwing everyone else in and it quickly turned into a very fancy pool party!
