I met Lisa as a Bridesmaid in another wedding I was photographing last year.  I fell in love immediately! She was so much fun and so full of life.  I met Matt just before the wedding at their engagement session, now I wouldn’t say I fell in love, since Lisa maybe small but I bet she packs a mean punch!  But we hit it off, what a fun loving guy!

Matt’s brother runs Asti Winery in Cloverdale.  or as his son told me “my Dad’s the big boss here”  (so proud of his Dad! I loved my little conversation with him) so naturally when your Brother runs a GORGEOUS venue you are going to take full advantage!  and I am so so so fortunate that they did!  From top to bottom this wedding was top notch!  and I enjoyed literally every second!

Lisa has the most adorable, handsome son!!!  We just had to use him for some of the detail shots!!!!  He was so incredibly sick too but he was such a trooper all day long.  I don’t think I heard him complain once! and he smiled with perfection in every single photo!

A couple of Lisa and Matt’s friends (aka my new besties) just happen to be slightly musically inclined so they asked them to play during the ceremony….. and by slightly I mean I could have sat there all day listening to them.  They both clearly enjoy life and music and bring the two together which creates a fun environment for everyone around them!

There is a very long road that bends into a large S which Lisa walked down and met her Father and her Son, who then walked her across the lawn to meet her Husband to be.

The people at DL catering are so much fun to work with!  This is definitely a group of people who really enjoy what they do.  They truly have the passion and heart for the art of cooking.  They made a corn risotto for 250 people!!!  If you have ever made risotto you know how absolutely difficult that must have been.  I cook it for 12 and can’t even talk to anyone while I am doing it.  These guys had a smile on their faces and even stopped to tell me how he was making it.  ooh yeah, it was DELICIOUS!  If I had room in my bag I would have stollen a whole tray!!!!  They even had 6 requests for non dairy so they pulled aside enough for 6 portions and made them a dairy free version.  This isn’t easy and they did it with a smile.  They even made a point to say, “this is what we are in the business for”  good food brings happiness and brings people together, these guys really not only understand that but they live that.  I highly recommend them to anyone needing a caterer!

I LOVE this idea, my Step Sister did this at her wedding and I was so happy to see it again!  They had a long rectangle table covered in butcher paper with crayons and candy just for the kids.  These kids (and some adults and teens too) were occupied with this for hours!!!  Great way to help your guests keep their kids entertained!

Matt is a highly respected Football Coach and a couple of his colleges got up and gave a speech, giving us a little insight into Matt and his passion for the respect of the American Flag and the National Anthem.  So they made him get up and sing the National Anthem.  It was definitely a first to see 250 guests rise in the middle of toasts and to have the Groom sing!

Thankfully these musically talented guys didn’t just stop at the ceremony, they played a little tune while Matt’s Brother sang to everyone!  Really, this family is just so much fun!!!!
