Amy+Gene's Vintage Chic Trentadue Winery Wedding

Amy and Eugene are such a sweet couple. I had a blast at their engagement session, we laughed almost the entire time. I always knew Amy would make a beautiful bride but I wasn’t quite prepared for just how breathtaking she looked on her special day! She just radiated! Amy is the type of woman who lights up the room with her smile and her joy. It was such a pleasure working with her and their families that day. Such wonderful people to be around all day long.
Amy and Eugene got married at Trentadue Winery in Geyserville, CA. One of my all time favorite wedding venues! When I arrived I was greeted with the most beautiful vintage, chic details! Then the lovely florist, Anita from Wine Country Flowers arrived with the flowers that complimented the vintage decor with pure perfection! Amy’s Aunt saw that Amy pinned a gorgeous vintage lounge set up on her Wedding Board on Pinterest so she designed her one just like it as a surprise wedding gift to her. It was so beautiful!!!

Gene surprised Amy with a gorgeous set of bands around her engagement ring so I was lucky enough to get to photograph them in private before she got to see them at the ceremony!

I love seeing the look on Daddy’s face when he sees his little girl for the first time in her wedding dress.

Amy and Gene share a deep love for their Christian faith.  They added such a beautiful touch to their guestbook.  They placed their bible on the table next to their guestbook and asked their friends and family to highlight their favorite passage in the bible.  I thought that was so personal and so creative.  What a great way to connect on a whole different level with their friends and family.

The Maid of Honor led the ladies in one last prayer before the ceremony.

The Mother of the Bride and her 2 sons.

Amy’s 100 year old Great Grandfather led the ceremony with a beautiful speech and prayer….

The calm before the cocktail hour storm =)

Amy is the only girl with 2 brothers so you can only imagine this families joy on this special occasion!

All eyes on the matriarch of the family, standing tall at 100 years old!!!

I think Mr. Barry is one of my favorites!!!  He seriously had me laughing until tears were coming down my face!!!  He saved the voicemail Gene had left him while trying to ask to meet for coffee so he could ask for his permission to marry Amy.  There were about 200 “um’s” and a couple dozen akward pauses in the voicemail.  It was hysterical !

Then he pulls out a letter Amy wrote him when she was a young girl.  The letter was Amy demanding for her Father to tell her the truth about how babies are made.

As I’m sure you’ve gathered by now, Amy’s Father is a jokester.  He showed up at the rehearsal in plaid flannel, shorts, full waders, and a shot gun!  He likes to joke rather than get mushy and emotional.  But Amy wanted to bring out the softer side in her Father on her special day.  So she planned a special surprise for him.  Amy is a beautiful singer.  Her Dad would often ask the church to record her while she would sing in church.  He would then put it on his ipod and that is what he preferred to listen to rather than the radio or any other recording artist.  It was such a joy for him to hear her sing.  So Amy recorded herself singing a special song just for him and had the DJ play the song for the Father Daughter dance.  It instantly brought this jokester to an emotional stand still.  Amy and her Mother informed me they had never really ever seen him cry.  So they thought this might be their only shot at seeing a tear come from his eye….. no pressure right?  It really was a very touching moment though!  It’s amazing how touched we can get by our children, no matter how tough we are emotionally.  There is something about your love for your child that will get you every single time.

Back at his jokester ways……….

I LOVE this!  they had a cigar and port bar towards the end of the night out on the lawn.  Everyone seemed to really enjoy it!!!

I want to give special thanks to my amazing amazing 2nd photographer along with me that day, Barbara!  She is such a joy to work with and I was so glad to have her by my side helping me capture such wonderful memories for Amy and Gene!

And a very special thank you to all the vendors ……..
