Tyler + Justine {Truett Hurst Winery Wedding Photos, VML wedding photos, sonoma county wedding photographer}

I am so thankful that Tyler called me and asked me to photograph his proposal to his then beautiful girlfriend Justine.  What a special moment!  Check out the proposal story here

The two met and fell in love while working for sister wineries VML and Truett Hurst.  Although they had moved to Maryland so Tyler could continue his education, they knew there was no way they would get married anywhere else but Truett Hurst.  This was also where they got engaged!  I think it must have been the 2nd easiest choice they ever made!

Typically, ok not typically I ALWAYS deal almost exclusively with the Bride and occasionally the Mother of the Bride.  I usually don’t get to interact with the Groom until the engagement session and then not again until the wedding day.  But Tyler was the one handling the photography details and all of that.  He is just about the sweetest Man I’ve come across.  You can tell he handled these details in a way to be helpful and supportive to Justine’s vision, not to control the day.  They honestly worked as such an amazing team I was so impressed.  So it was no surprise that the day was beautiful, smooth sailing, and full of joyous emotion.

Justine got ready at VML winery (which is just simply GORGEOUS) and they decided they wanted to do a very intimate vow exchange and first look before the actual ceremony.  It gave them a chance to tell each other things they didn’t necessarily want to say in front of everyone.  It was incredibly touching.  They then made their way over to Truett Hurst for the ceremony and reception.

I just love this, they wrote letters to each other to open at their 10 year anniversary or if along the way they feel they are struggling and need to read the letters to help get them back on the right track.  I love this idea, what a great tradition to start!

Ok so this photo is a little odd if you didn’t read their engagement story.  Tyler was walking Justine down to where he had his whole proposal all set up and Justine was completely clueless as to what Tyler really had planned that day at the winery.  She stopped at the garden along the way and pointed out the Kale plants.  Poor Tyler was 30 feet from the spot he had set up to ask her to marry him and she stopped to talk about the Kale!  We were all hiding on pins and needles and Justine had no clue!  It was so funny!  How great was it that they got married at the same spot they became engaged?  They got to relive those wonderful memories!

A big thank you to Meghan Wiesman and Brian MacStay for a wonderful job!  I couldn’t have asked for a better photography team!!!!!
