I met Nick and Kristen at church.  They both spend their lives dedicated to helping children.  Nick was the Youth Pastor at our Church and now is the Director for the Boys and Girls Club in Petaluma.  It was such an honor to get the capture such an important day for these two selfless, wonderful, loving people.

Nick and Kristen wanted to take communion in a private little area behind the alter.  I wasn’t sure I’d be able to capture the moment with out getting too obtrusive (which I refuse to do)  so I had warned them that there was a possibility I wouldn’t be able to capture that moment since it was pretty enclosed (and enclosed with rose bushes …ouch) but I saw an angle I could get with out being in anyones way and with out becoming the center of attention.  So I crawled through a couple rose bushes and was able to get this shot… it was worth the thorny stabs LOL!

I just love this shot!  It is exactly how I feel every time my Husband and I attempt to take photos with our kids!  This was a little taste for them on what it will be like with kids of their own!
